  • The Language. The International Radio Language is English. You can only speak in a foreign language if you are licensed to do so.
  • Wait for the conversation to finish. Do not interrupt the person talking unless in emergencies. You need to warn the other parties that you have an urgent message.
  • Do not reciprocate the call unless you hear the call sign that tells you to answer.
  • Never relay military or any confidential information unless you are certain that the conversation is secured.
  • Do maintenance check-ups on your radios. Ensure that it is in good working condition and the radio is within range. Check the batteries if fully charged and the power is on. Maintain the volume on high to hear calls.
  • Master call signs and radio stations, memorize locations of persons that you usually get in contact with. Remember, you are not called by your name in radio communication but by a special call sign.
  • Be clear, simple and brief. Your voice should be clear and loud enough to be understood by the listening party. The message should be simple and concise, try to avoid long messages. If it happens to be too long, divide it into short messages so the listening party would understand.

Now that you know the ways on how to properly use the two-way radios, you can now see and understand the practicality that comes with this device. People now find it a necessity rather than just a toy. It would greatly benefit you on your business dealings or even for your personal use.
